NALEO membership provides the licensing professional with numerous benefits, from the sharing of knowledge and information to networking, real peer support, educational and training opportunities, access to lobbying and the promotion of a better understanding of licensing issues.
In order to become a member you must be a member of a Local Authority or a Local Authority Legal, Enforcement or Administrative Officer/Assistant or a serving Police Officer whose duties encompass some aspect of Licensing.
Members have access to a website full member's forum through which questions are answered, problems can be solved and experiences shared.
The result is a strong voice for licensing, where ideas, practices and procedures can be developed, refined and reviewed.
Training is vital in every profession, especially one so rooted in and guided by legislation.
NALEO attaches great importance to the continuing professional development of its members through a range of training courses, most of which will lead to nationally-recognised and Highfield Qualifications externally accredited Level 2 and 3 qualifications. Members may receive a discount on course fees if they attend training – in some cases the discount is greater than the cost of membership! To enquire about available qualifications please email nationalchair@naleo.org.uk
